While we are about this we should not forget a very important but overlooked user of this "underutilised" white space. Professional sound/production companies. These are the guys/gals that do your Corporate events, Rock Shows, Broadway Productions and Local County Fairs and Art Festivals.

The companies with all of the money are trying to push the rest of us out unless we pay them for what used to be public airwaves. Keep this in mind whenever you read any information (read propaganda) from any agency trying to push an agenda in this matter. That includes my comment here. Difference is that I don't have millions or more to give to lobbying groups and Technicians such as myself have a tendency to be too honest rather than the opposite.

I can tell you that all of the so called solutions that have been proposed are vapourware and have never been observed to work in highly controlled circumstances let alone in the everyday work world that we all live in. Theoretically these alternative systems work. But, theoretically I get I get full bandwidth from my WIFI hub no matter where in my house/apartment I am sitting. We all know that this isn't true. Rolling Eyes

Just something to keep in mind.
Brian.
