I've followed... (edited by HD library)

I replaced the lamp in my TV like in the past, but this time it didn't fix the problem. I got error code 34, lamp abnormality. So I checked the voltage to the ballast board according to the manual and it was 330v. The repair manual says 340 and that's close enough. That should mean the problem is in the ballast board and not the power supply. So I got a new ballast board and replaced it. The lamp light still come on and sometimes I get error code 12, which means nothing is wrong, or I get the previous error code 34, which means lamp abnormality. I'm stuck! According to the manual replacing the ballast board should have fixed it the problem.

This site does not support DIY repair so I can't help you with that.

That said, you are way over your head on this one. Your lamp is not firing due to failures in other areas. Check the following thread on how to proceed on this as a consumer having it repaired for them.

Over my head?

Without knowing what my background is, why would you say I'm in over my head?
I've been designing, building and repairing electronics for over 25 years!
The thread you mentioned refers to the well-known "blinking green-light of death."
I don't have that symptom. That is a chassis-module failure indication.
Any ideas on where is a better place to post for fix-it help?
