I have had the tv about 1 year, got it as a gift and now the gifter isn't speaking with me, so I can't get any assistance on her part. I have a Sylvania rcl320 flat screen hdtv. The problem I am having is I can't watch the darn thing anymore becuase it just scans through random channels. I pulled a full of the buttons to make sure they weren't sticking then the problem went away for a week or so. Now the problem is back and now when I press the channel button up or down on the tv, it turns the power off.

So I unplugged the tv and when it powers back up it will stay on the channel for a a few seconds then start scanning random channels. The tv is worthless at this point but I still have hope. Is there something that I can do it or is there a fix that I can do to get my tv working again? The picture was wonderful when it played so I want to start back using it if it's at all possible.

Not meaning to sound like "Sour Grapes" at all, but the Brand Name "Sylvania" hasn't meant anything now for some years!

That "Brand Name" along with many others from the past are simply licensed for their "eye-catching" appeal to the unsuspecting & applied to a wide variety of sets made by arguably the worst of the Asian Assemblers available. Basic "Warranty" was probably not really worth the cost of round trip shipping @ YOUR cost even during that brief interval.

You'll find extremely-few { "..IF.." any!} after-market Repair Shops willing to bother giving you an Estimate, let alone "fix" it.
