Panasonic: DMRHS2 - DVD Recorder with hard drive

I ended up buying this unit after reviewing the DMRE30S.
It has all the same features and faults plus...
Adds a hard drive for 8 hours of best image recording using XP mode. Adds a flash card port for viewing digital photo images. Adds 1394 SD digital video inputs for camcorders. I have not used these last two functions and refer you to the owners manual online at the Panasonic website.
I used it for quite a while for DVD movies as well but that function has been turned over to my Panasonic DVDRP91 since it is near reference in 480I mode and I use an external scaler. The Lumagen series of scaler also fixes the chroma bug problem for error free playback if I still wanted to use this product for movies.
For more info refer to the Panasonic DMRE30S
