I caught last weeks game and had to comment over the fact that the sound was fantastic for the most part. I setup the volume control for maximum volume and was greeted with a football stadium sound scape that made me feel I was there. The announcers volume was set right and not overbearing. The only bummer was the transition into commercials and the loud levels of the commercials themselves.

In the end I started contemplating the concept of paying ABC to not show me any commercials so I could just enjoy the feeling of being there with play by play action.

BTW, this is a direct contrast to the poor sound production of the Olympics...

Hey Richard...another blessing you get with the new HD TiVo is that you can record the games in HD and then when it's over watch it without knowing the score and edit out the commercials... (HD Life just keeps getting better!)... ...It's going to be interesting to see how Directv NFL Sunday Ticket FOX fares against CBS, ABC, NBC, and ESPN in their delivery of HD.
