Out-dated Equipment

There's talk of Directv coming out with a unit that will make HR10-250 a bit obsolete. Not obsolete, but absolutely not the cutting edge machine that you laid out $1000 for not that long ago.
Don't get stuck with any outdated equipment. Unlike computers, you don't have to eat the entire cost after only a couple of years of use.
Anticipate the release date of the new units the best you can and sell the old unit. You just need to do it before a hot new machine hits the market to get the best price. It's easily done on eBay, audiogon.com or videogon.com
I recovered 75% of the cost of my Zenith sat 520 (remember when that was the killer receiver of the day?) by selling it before word leaked out about an HD DVR. There's always buyers out there who don't keep up on the latest news, or are just looking for a bargain and don't need the newest stuff.
