Trouble with HD Channels thru Directv

I just bought a new sony 51" rear projection and sign up for directv HD. When I watch the directv HD channels especially the 1080 channels. When the picture moves vertically there is a small line running thru the middle of the screen the disrupts the picture. The line is only about 1/16" but it is still annoying. You can see it at other times but when the picture is moving vertically is when its the easiest to see. I havent seen the line on any off air HD shows or any progressive scanned dvd's so I dont think its the TV. I called directv and they had never heard of anything like this. they sent a technician and he only saw the line one time. I'm not sure if it has always been there, but it took me about two weeks to see it. Also I havent seen it on any of the other satellite or off-air non hd channels. Does anyone have any experience with this..any info is appreciated...sorry so long but this is hard to describe without seeing it

I put up post for you at Satellite Guys

Based on what you have already found it may be the nature of the beast. That means you need a different model or different brand.

If you check that link there is a thread at AVS about a line.

Is this with DVI, component or both? What happens if you change the scan rate?
