Taxi - DVD

A loser cop enlists the service of a cabby to catch some bank robbers. The cop has a knack for being a detective keeping him hot on the trail and the cabby has tuned up her taxi making it possible for them to catch the suspects.
Queen Latifah shines as the cabby and Ann Margaret is very cool as Washburns lush of a mother. Many elements of the story work very well! That said this movie stretched every aspect of reality beyond the limits for us and it was highly predictable right down to the lines at times. Personally, ignorance is funny but stupidity is not and Jimmy Falon plays one very stupid individual that for us was simply a turn off. I guess in the end that made it a frustrating movie for me, entertained on one hand and greatly disappointed on the other.
