Samsung HDTV Model HCL4715W need assistance with convergence

My Samsung Rear Projection HDTV has lost the focus after a speaker dropped and hit the back of the TV. I tried to follow troubleshooting steps and set the perfect focus or autofocus, but this does not correct the problem. The Troubleshooting guide says you can manually set the focus using the convergence function with a remote, but I have lost my remote...HELPPP!!!! Is there any way to open up the back of the TV and physically do a manual focus???

I thik you need a replacement remote or universal remote. What are you using now?

It sounds like you broke your mirror...

Focus is not your problem... Your image starts life as separate red, green and blue and it is the convergence circuit that puts them on top of each other and if done perfectly you achieve maximum resolution. Many perceive this to be a focus problem; it is convergence. Manufacturers call their automated convergence alignment focus something, adding to the confusion.

I have seen mirrors cracked apart so part of it sticks out. By not being in the same plane as the rest it appears as a convergence error - it isn't.

Sounds like it is time for service... click on Find a NESDA Service Center at the top of this forum.
