HD Audio from Receiver to TV to Bose System?

Hey all,
My first post on this forum. I just upgraded to a HD receiver, Motorola Moxi to be exact. It connects to a older model Sony HDTV through component AV video and audio cables. Directly to the back of the TV. I'm trying to get audio from the TV to the Bose 3-2-1 receiver. I originally had RCA audio cables coming from the TV audio out into the back of the Bose receiver in the AUX. But now with the new HD receiver and component AV cables, it seems like that setup will no longer work. Just wanted to come in here to get some advice to how I go about getting audio to the Bose speakers without plugging the HD component AV audio cables directly into the back of the Bose receiver. Thanks for any input and sorry for the long post and if it's confusing to read.

I think I see the problem - component video cables aren't AV at all - they're just V (Video). If you just want stereo sound from the TV speakers and the Bose you need to run 2 more RCA cables for audio from the Moxi to the TV and from the TV to the Bose. But if you want digital surround sound then you have 2 options: HDMI, which the Bose and your TV probably don't support or digital audio from the Moxi directly to the Bose (and you use the component video to the TV for picture only). Digital audio is either optical (toslink) or coax - check the Moxi and the Bose to see if these inputs/outputs are available. Ultimately you'll need to upgrade the TV and receiver to be HDMI compatible.

Great approaches yet if you want everything to be how it was then add the audio cable from the STB to the TV as suggested and that will retain the original way you were doing the A/V switching.
