The partnership between the nation's leading retailer and second largest cable operator will allow customers to access new affordable services to enhance their communication and home entertainment needs. In many cases, it allows customers easy access to enjoying their high definition experience even more with the purchase of a Time Warner Cable high definition signal at the same time they are purchasing a new HDTV. Time Warner Cable Chief Executive Officer Glenn Britt said: "Today's consumer is looking for value and convenience. We know that they want to watch what they want, when they want, and many want it in high definition. They want fast, reliable internet access and they want unlimited calling plans. This partnership with Wal-Mart provides customers better access to their entertainment and communications needs with just one stop, making our customers' lives even easier."
