DIRECTV HAS LAUNCHED ALTITUDE IN HD 24/7 Following its recent announcement that all Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets games this year will be available in high-definition (HD), Altitude Sports & Entertainment has launched Altitude programming in full-time HD on DIRECTV, and is now available in 5.1-channel surround sound. DIRECTV is currently the only satellite TV provider to offer Altitude in HD on a 24/7 basis. In addition to Avalanche and Nuggets game coverage, Altitude's full-time HD channel (DIRECTV viewer channel 681) will carry all regular network programs with enhanced quality.
