Anyone out there using wireless speakers? Can wireless possibly hold a candle to wired? My neighbor wants to try some because of the layout of his room. Sony's I think. Is it the future or just an easier/cheaper install for a quick system?

Easier install is the key and for most people it provides enough performance to satisfy them. That said, you still have to get AC power to them... 😉
If performance is your bag then you want not only hard wired speakers but also speakers that are voiced to work with each other in a multichannel application.
