Courtesy of Richard Fisher, I finally had a real ISF calibrator work on my
Mits Diamond as opposed to the so called calibrator I used the fist time.
He did an excellent job and I am very happy. Thank you Richard!!! During
the process of calibrating the set, Barry mentioned that the Brighthouse DVR
I was using would allow me to adjust the sd channels from 480i to 480p which
is what he did. The sd channels look better now. I never knew that was
possible. Did I just miss some earlier posts about this?

Go into settings, then once you are in the settings menu, select more
settings, output on my box is the third option down. Once you select output
it will show you what the box is displaying which will probably be 480i.
You then click on 480p and this will change the setting. Are you going
component out or DVI out from the cable box? According to Barry VanDenBerg
who calibrated my Mits, the cable company automatically sets the default on
DVI to 480i but it can be switched using the method I described above.
