Decent reviews with some useful info and HD Library does recommend them
but I have yet to be keen on their final recommendations.

As for this display it lacks pixel for pixel mapping and apparently a
backlight control to correct the black problem but the review neglected
to cover the lack of that very important adjustment for any LCD

Once the lights came on, the bright highlights on the windows of the
hibernation pods became blown out and difficult to view. The Sharp
LC-37D7U we had on hand soundly beat the Westinghouse in terms of
rendering deeper, cleaner blacks and dark areas of the picture, and it
didn't crush whites. Conversely, the Sharp gave the white walls a
red-yellow hue, while the LVM-37W1 served up a much more natural-looking
color.

I believe they are saying they could not get the color temperature of
the Sharp correct while this display basically was. Wish that would have
been made clear. An example of both the author and editor forgetting we
don't live in their minds... ;) I bet I do that too... ;)

Pretty cool that it accepts 1080P but without the pixel for pixel
mapping there does not seem to be much advantage nor bypassing of the
internal scaler.

Anyway, poor blacks, crushed whites and no pixel for pixel mapping.

Casual viewing applications only and per their review, bright rooms.
