I am considering HD Component Video switch for my new HR10-250 and old
Progressive Scan DVD player into my tv's only component input.
Currently hooked up via my HK AVR 320 but its specs are only around
35MHZ -3db and appears kind of dark with loss of detail in the dark
regions of the picture. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of
the Autio Authority 1154A which claims 130MHZ -3db?
Thanks,
Larry

Switching is not your problem. Have you had the display and system ISF
calibrated?

If you were part of the HDTV MAgazine group at HD Library the following
may help you better understand the issues with component switching and
when to be concerned.

I was just looking at those articles and felt I should add more for your
situation.

If you were to change your analog switching there would be a difference
but it may be subtle. Most if not all of the mid to high end receivers
now use 80MHZ+ in their switching. What you may notice with better
switching is better edge definition and less ringing which presents
itself as a white halo next to a hard edge that has high contrast. This
effect is clearly shown in the calibration DVD tutorials for setting
sharpness if you are looking for an example.

I haven't done any imperical testing, but I use the 1154 to switch my Xbox
and HD STB. Zero-complaints.
