I've found in the past that the "list" software doesn't like any type
of special formatting (bold, italics, etc.) so maybe that's the
problem. There are times where I've actually re-typed the pertinent
information to surmount this hurdle. Links shouldn't be a problem if
you use yout regular typeface and formatting.

Hope this information helps.

Then I would suspect that there are some imbedded codes (not visible
on your screen) that aren't playing nice with the list's software. I
realize that this can be frustrating, but I've encountered similar
things from time to time and I've learned to accept them because I
don't choose to delve at a programming level. Maybe Shane can offer
some additional insight.

Good luck.

I have a message from the CeBIT people that I'd like to share with
the list. It's about a problem with certification of HD players.
However, it bounces every time I try to forward the message.

Any idea what I can do? I presume the problem is that it contains a
link to the CeBIT web site.

Advice would be appreciated.

I tried, but that didn't help either.

It just said it was a multi-part message. Not sure what part was the multi.

I don't think the list allows html mail. You might try copying the text
into a new message instead of forwarding it.

Make sure to configure the email as "plain text". As Walt and Robert
alluded to, the list rejects anything other than plain text.

OK. I just copied the text to Notepad, so the result should be plain
text. Then I did a cut and paste. Maybe it will work this time.

Glad it finally came through ... and thanks to those who responded,
exactly what I was going to say. ;-)

Depending on your mail software, you can make this happen automatically.
I use Mozilla Thunderbird, and I've told it that all my email to the
tips list address should be forced to "text", whereas all my other email
is sent as HTML.

I imagine the same functionality would be in any main-stream email
client. Glad to troubleshoot if you let me know the brand and version
you are using.

Cheers,

Shane Sturgeon
