Hugh its all I know is that it is called D-Theater DVHS Demonstration
Tape and it also says Ultimate Demonstration Theater. It sells from
$60-$100. For that price I was curious what was on it.

This is a rare DVHS Demonstration tape that has High-Definition clips of
various movies, concerts, etc. It's a very cool tape to demonstrate your
home theater.

-100 minutes of HD demo material

-5.1 Dolby Digital Sound

-1080i 16X9 (anamorphic)

Thanks
Jim

James, you must have seen the auction for the tape I just won (bought)
at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6399895944

I don't know any more than what the auction said, but as soon as it gets
rented out (I don't have a d-vhs player myself), I'll find out and let
you know. I'm curious as well.

I have found that there are a handful of demo tapes made on d-vhs - some
dtheater, some not.

Another interesting thing I'm seeing is a couple of auctions where the
movie is not D-theater. One guy has Men in Black and S.W.A.T. I'm
guessing these are recorded from cable or satellite, then archived to
d-vhs. I wonder if there is any enforcement of this, or if it's so
obscure, nobody will realize what's going on.

Jason
