Shane. A quick question. Now that the HDTV Magazine "Daily" is
operational (it's excellent, by the way) is it still necessary to
provide these "activity in the HDTV Magazine Forums" daily updates as
well? It appears that the material is covered quite well in the new offering.

Or are there people who don't get the new announcements so that the
old method is still the only way for them to get such information? I
also am aware that I can update my profile to opt out of the old
announcements but I was just wondering whether there are still some
unique aspects of the "activity" messages that are not covered in the
"daily" announcements. I figured that you, better than anyone, would know.

Just thinking out loud. Great job as always. Thank you and Happy Holidays.

Hi Robert,

Your suppositions are correct. The information in the Daily is the same
as is in the Forum Update. All members have access to both, but some may
only want the Forum Update. Bottom line: It costs us nothing to continue
offering both, and if we see a significant drop in the Forum Update (or
any of our subscriptions), we can always discontinue them.

Glad you find it useful.

Please reply either to me directly or to the list if anyone has any
ideas for other sections, etc. for the new Daily. Some have already
provided some interesting ideas I am pursuing.

Thanks,

Shane Sturgeon
