When did DirecTV add Cinemax HD? Flipping through my STB channel guide
tonight, I notice they are now labeling Cinemax (ch. 512) as HD. I didn't
do too much digging around, but could not find anything on their website
about it. They still just list HBO and Showtime on their HD Programming
page.

Maybe a promo, but certainly something that is coming or has come. I will
call DirecTV PR chief, Bracken, in the morning and find out. Would be nice
addition, though not terribly important in that all of these movies are the
same network to network.

There was talk on the AVSforum and most came to the conclusion that
it was mislabeled. Someone who had Cinemax said the channel was 480i.

It is a mistake in the listing data that is causing Cinemax to be indicated
as HD programming. The same thing has been reported by customers of various
cable companies around the country.
