The 6000 is incapable of receiving PSIP EPG data, and Dish doesn't supply
local guide data for that particular receiver. Their policy on OTA guide
data varies widely from receiver to receiver, none of which AFAIK can get
the data via PSIP. The 811 gives you guide data for all OTA channels, with
or without a subscription to SD locals. The 921 and 942 DVR's give you
guide data for local OTA's only if you subscribe to SD locals. This is a
particular sore point for me (I have a 6000 and a 921) because I get my
OTA's (analog and digital) very nicely with an antenna and I will NOT pay
Dish $5.99/mo for SD local channels I don't need just to get guide data on
my 921. This should be included in the $5/mo DVR fee that they charge just
because they can. There are multiple discussions of this on DBSTalk.com

Hi folks,

Just curious about those who have a Dish 6000 w/OTA module. Are you
getting
program information in your guide? A friend has this set-up and all the
epg shows for
the digital locals is "local programming". Is there a setting I've missed
that would allow
the epg to show the program info?

I know it exists as it shows up on 2 DTV receivers I have.
