Gameshows in HD as of today

Well, Sony has distributed two of its popular game shows, Wheel of Fortune
and Jeopardy, in HD as of today.

I believe that they actually got the HD cameras last season for Wheel, but
this season is the first that it has actually been distributed that way.

I wonder how many of the stations that syndicate these shows will show them
in HD. Unfortunately, my local station is not carried in HD by Comcast at
this time.

Also, I haven't heard any mention here of MHD, the music video and concert
channel from MTV, VH1 and CMT. We just started getting that one a month or
so ago.

My local ABC station (Philadelphia) and cable provider (Comcast - South
Jersey) did indeed show both Jeopardy and Wheel in glorious HD today.
Congratulations to ABC for "advancing the cause"!

No MHD here yet though.

My bad, looks like they are sending this to some ABC affiliates.

Yep. Since my first reply, I've researched and actually found it
syndicated on all 3 major networks across the country.

But to be clear, these are King World productions, which is a division
of CBS ... so CBS is "advancing the cause", not ABC.

But enjoy nonetheless,
