Speaking of color adjustments... in Dallas we had the Denver at KC game on
CBS (KTVT-DT 19). It appeared that the goal posts were glowing any time
they had an end zone shot....

and speaking of end zone shots, the FOX shots (KDFW-DT 35) on the Dallas -
NY Giants game looked like they were shot thru mesh. Very poor quality on
several cameras at that game.

What kind of TV do you have?

Many Plasma, DLP, and LCOS sets these days have very nonstandard
green primaries. This can result in florescent greens and in some
cases yellows.

My Samsung HL-P5063 was that way, but fortunately it could be
calibrated to eliminate the problem (the only consumer RPTV/Plasma
sets that I'm aware of that can be corrected are the Samsungs).

The most obvious defect when I first got the set was that goal posts
looked florescent/glowing as you describe. Although I didn't see
that particular broadcast, I suspect it is a problem with the TV, and
not the network.

Steve, green is the one setting that was way off on my Sammy 6168. Do you
think Samsung is intentionally shipping these with this setting?

Had my set calibrated by Seth Schnaible and he likes to leave the green
elevated just a tick on the Y axis on the Colorfacts chart.
