Hi Guys,

I've been a member of this list almost from the beginning and have learned
much from its members.

May I enlist your collective guidance once again?

We're building a number of high-end contemporary homes in Desert Mountain,
Scottsdale, AZ, each of which, including my own, will have a dedicated home
theatre.

My home's theatre will be 16' by 21' (using the golden ratio) and most of
them are in that size range.

Can anyone on the TIPS list recommend a local ( or not) theatre design
consultant to work with us over the next year or so on the various homes,
mostly with me, but also with my partners, the architect and builder?

Some equipment will need to be purchased (not necessarily from the
consultant)...I have much that will be able to be used in my theatre, but
his or her suggestions as to equipment will be welcome, nonetheless.

We are, however, most interested in the sound-proofing, audio, seating,
sight lines, etc. issues.

I've been an a/v enthusiast for decades, so have some useful knowledge and
experience, have been reading everything I can lay my hands on and my
partners will basically build anything we design (low-tech, low-cost
construction much preferred).

Your suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike Malkin

Hi Mike,

I know an excellent Custom Installer/Calibrator in the Phoenix area that you
should talk to. His name is Michael Hamilton and he can be reached at
480-205-5299. Tell him I referred you. Good luck with the project.
