And yes, all these nasty signals can damage a digital and Ethernet signal,
especially if the cat 5 is run beside power lines. It also can radiate
through the house, as has been stated, via the power lines in the walls, as
well as into the units via power cords. A friend tested for this a couple of
years ago when he bought his test set and was amazed at the signal
degradation. We had no more disagreements about wire running after that.

Big problems with old plaster walls and whatever, the
wiring is sometimes old, like 10" apart wires through
porcelan sp? insulators in the old studs.. phones are
