Older big-screen, where to sell?

Hi all,

I have a 65-inch Mitsubishi HD (CRT) from 1999. The picture went up, so
rather than pay for repairs, I decided to upgrade to a new 62-inch
Mitsubishi HD (DLP). Any idea how to best get rid of the old one? It's big
and heavy (does split to 2 pieces for easier transport), but I'd be willing
to give it to anyone that would like to pick it up and have it repaired (on
the list or not). Also, any idea if I could use that as a tax write-off?

Try craigslist at www.craigslist.org and just make sure that you
describe the set and its condition accurately.

It's unlikely that you can find a way to write it off unless you can
donate it to a high school or community college electronics class.

Donate it to a shelter, church, children's home. You might talk with the
local repair guys and ask them if they will fix it and donate it to one of
those groups, or to a Katrina fund. There is a technology group in Houston
that is colleting for Katrina victims and maybe they will take it and fix it
up. How to get it there? Email them and they just might have trucks from
your area coming down with items for the people, and you can put it on
board. We do from my area: SC. www.techforall.org

I live in Orlando but I did live in Columbia in the 80's when I attended
USC. I lived on Broad River Road before it went down hill.

Ha, a pun, as Broad River Rd has always gone downhill!

We must have crossed paths at USC. Leesburg is my second home.
