OTA Tuner

Dish has badly messed up my OTA channels with their
latest software release for the 921 PVR. I am
considering purchasing a stand-alone HD OTA tuner but
before doing so would like to get some
suggestings/recommendations from my cyber friends on
the tips list.

On Rodolfo's 2005 report he lists a Viewsonic HD12
that should fit my needs. Does anyone have experience
with this unit?

My TV has only one DVI input which is connected to the
921. Component inputs are not being used at this
time.

Joe,
Do you subscribe to Dish locals? If not, that is why your 921's OTA is
messed up (or gone altogether). The fix is to call Dish and (temporarily)
subscribe to locals (it will be free for a month). This is a
well-documented issue with software version L216. There is a good
discussion of this in the DBSTalk.com 921 support forum.
