Problem

Have had my 60" SXRD for a few days and it is awesome. God it for $3400 from
an online outfit in Deleware. Ordered it on a Thursday and got it the
following Thursday. No pressuring to buy anything else. I was pleasantly
surprised.

The problem is I have a Toshiba upconverting DVD player with HDMI. Have
connected it to Video 7 HDMI port on TV. The power is on. The DVD is loaded,
the lights are on. No picture. No apparent connection. I have used the TV
video input button, have labeled it properly. Anyone know what's going on. I
have checked the HDMI cable and it works fine.

Hey Hack,

That is an awesome set. I have calibrated many of them, and I gave it an
Editor's Choice Award at CNET late last year.

Depending on the DVD player you may have to activate the HDMI output. Also
make sure you set it for 1080i output. Hope this helps.

Kevin,

When do you recommend calibration? What does it mean to activate the HDMI?
