Hi, This could have major impact on many business models. However, it
seems to me that loseless compression may not really be possible, at
least for data which is rapidly changing. If it can be done, it will
certainly be worth $billions.

Some years ago I heard about a researcher who was deriving a model to
describe the masses of the approximate 250 isotopes in the periodic
table. The model became more and more complex, until it described the
isotope masses nearly perfectly, but the model had about 250 free
parameters...
