I watched a few minutes of Rome on HBO and I thought it was the best HD I
had ever seen on HBO. It appears to have be filmed with 16x9 in mind and
the PQ was excellent.

I was prompted to call my TWC office here to ask about HBO HD on demand
as well, and as usual, they pointed me to "In Demand HD" which is really
inHD. We don't have hbo hd on demand here.

Rome is good stuff, but I'm guessing it won't last past the first
season. Too much dead silence makes it feel more like an A&E special
than an HBO series.

Tom are you sure you get HBO series in HD with
On-Demand? I just tried to watch Rome Chapter 1 and
while it was widescreen, it was definetly not HD. It
was letterboxed and looks SD. I watched my DVR'd Rome
4 that recorded last night and it was beautiful HD.

I vote for "Deadwood" as far as their series PQ.
