Samsung DLP Repair

I have a 56" Samsung DLP that is two years old. When the color wheel went
bad last fall, the entire light engine was replaced by Tweeter/Sound Advice
warranty. Since the replacement of the light engine in November, we have
had two continuing problems that have not been resolved. One of the color
bars that shows when viewing a 4:3 program (DirecTV or DVD) is wider at the
top than the bottom by a noticeable amount. Also, during 16:9 viewing,
there is a black stripe at the top of the screen. Image appears to be
mis-positioned. I wrote about this recently, but have a different question
- can anyone recommend a firm/technician in the Tampa Bay area (or a
resource to find one) to get these issues resolved? The quality of warranty
service in our area from my warranty provider has been so bad that I am
willing to go off on my own to get this right. Their option for me now is
to take the set for month to their shop to take a look at it.

I wish I had an option for you. All I can say is I sympathize. Sound
Advice came out to check and clean my crt rp set a year ago and he also
reset convergence. The set looked substantially worse after he was done. I
ended up re-setting the convergence myself. Service after the sale is not
their forte.

Keep after them. With Tweeter, if thwy can't fix it in 3 tries then they
have to replace the set. They didn't fix it -- that is ONE!! -- Make them
take it back - and give you a loaner and FIX IT!!!

Craig

ps. -- It took me 2 years to get a problem with my Panasonic HDTV resolved
(they gave pretty good credit toward a new set at wholesale).
