HDNet update re: shuttle launch coverage
HDNet plans its exclusive live broadcast of the launch of Space Shuttle
Discovery, no matter how long the delay.
HDNet has made a significant investment to assist NASA in upgrading their
cameras to HD and in providing HD cameras and equipment. As a result, HDNet
will be there for the launch when it happens. The latest update from NASA is
that Tuesday, July 26 is the earliest possible date, with a goal of
launching by the end of the July window that extends to the 31st.
In addition, HDNet will take advantage of the exclusivity we have on all HD
launch video to repurpose and present unique rebroadcasts of the launch long
before other networks are able."
