I recently purchased a Denon DVD2910 for use with my Toshiba 65H80 (which
Richard calibrated for me a few years ago). Is there any way that I can
receive an upconverted signal through my component video inputs as this set
has neither DVI nor HDMI inputs?

Let me try that again...

The component outs are turned off in the software which is setup by the
manufacturer. For that particular player if you enable the HD component
you will have messed up DVI, white clipping, and if you disable the HD
component the DVI is fixed.

Randy,

Does that TV also have an RGBHV input via either five RCAs, BNCs or 15 pin
VGA? That would eliminate the need for a VGA to Component Video converter
when using the Dtrovision PureLink DVI to VGA Converter (which passes HDMI
encrypted digital video). The PureLink unit only outputs via VGA (RGBHV)
analog HD. Adapter cables are available to split out the VGA jack to 5
plugs.

Best regards,

Hi Randy,

You would need the same recipe as cited... The "PureLink" DVI to VGA
converter and also a transcoder.

I don't recall Toshiba ever providing RGBHV on their HDTVs.
