----- HDTV Magazine Tips List -----

I believe what I am paying for a HD DVR with Time Warner is basically the
same as everyone else. Could other TW customers confirm or deny? Thanks

Time Warner does not charge the same thing nation wide.

Yes,

Even the same in Upstate NY. My bill says: "Digital Set Top Terminal
rate is $7.62" and "HD DVR Service $9.95". My bill went up the $9.95
when I got the DVR a year and a half ago - so as far as I am concerned
it is $10/month.

Dave,

I erred , I also pay $7.62 but only pay $6.95 for the DVR service. I would
think that any differences between areas may also be due to the many gimmics
and pricing discounts they provide customers at different times of the year.

I was originally paying $39.95 for Roadrunner. Then compalined when they
bumped it to $44.95. They then gave it to me for $19.95 for 3 months and
then $29.99 for 6 months and now they are back at $44.95.They said that
after having the service at a discounted price that they thought I would
have appreciated the good service and would not mind paying the full price
for it.(almost verbatim). Sure.....

Yea,

They have all sorts of gimmicks nowdays - they are into me for RR,
Telephone, and most everything on cable. I'll admit though, I have
saved a fair amount of money with the bundling over what I was paying
before (RR, cable and phone through our local telco).
