Ya, seems to be the new gee wiz thing... I hope this does not mess up my
HD... They talked about getting those silly glasses with the color filters.

Back to the fifties!

Are you saying you can get the 3D effect without the specatcles? They had
them in the TV guide last week to cut out and put together.

I watched a few minutes and you definitely needed the glasses. The 3D
effect was excellent but I hate wearing those stupid glasses.

That's what I was afraid of. I have no desire to wear those glasses for a
long time, but I like the show so I guess I'll have to endure it.

Nicetry,

Yes Nicetry.........Why didn't you post a link to that article? Filters
were absolutely necessary.

Perhaps you were confusing this with some recent announcements (it might
have been from Samsung) that utilized lenticular optics. That's a
process that has been around for some time that does not need glasses -
but it is a special screen. There is no process that gives a 3D effect
on everyone's set without using colored glasses.

Nicetry at trying to convince us otherwise.

Oddly enough I was doing a repair in a customers home and the only
source we had was a VCR tape of show about the 3D showing of Medium. I
have not seen the show yet but per that it appears we are going to be
watching some select scenes with the infamous separation of red and blue
pictures for this 50s system.

ARGH!

how cheesy...

----- HDTV Magazine Tips List -----

The separation of red and blue is exactly what I saw. It gave me a
headache. I had the program recorded on my HD-DVR and watched the first two
sequences of 3D. It reminded me of the 3D movies I saw back in the '50s.
I'll not do that again.

----- HDTV Magazine Tips List -----

Oddly enough I was doing a repair in a customers home and the only
source we had was a VCR tape of show about the 3D showing of Medium. I
have not seen the show yet but per that it appears we are going to be
watching some select scenes with the infamous separation of red and blue
pictures for this 50s system.

ARGH!

how cheesy...

----- HDTV Magazine Tips List -----

I watched the first scene with the glasses on and had to wait an hour for my
headache to go away before I could finish watching the rest of the episode.
Those glasses went in the trash. There was no way I was going to wear them
again.
