----- HDTV Magazine Tips List -----

Am looking at 3 projectors for my new parish center:

BenQ PB9200 4500L
InFocus LP850 4500L
NEC MT 1075 4200L

My audio guy tells me that his video guy says BenQ is bad stuff. He's
pushing NEC (most expensive, of course).

Any help from our professionals?

We have complete control of light. Projector will be used infrequently
mostly for DVD's, Powerpoints, projecting photos for anniversary parties,
etc.

Jack

My only comment is... Did you know these are all 4:3 projectors?

If you did cool. If not then, well you know now...

Yes, the primary use will not be viewing HDTV, but they all claim to support
16:9.

Any display can support either aspect ratio.

4:3 displays are best at 4:3 content

16:9 displays are best at 16:9 content

Pick black bars top and bottom, 4:3 or bars left and right, 16:9. Which
format would you like it optimized for? 16:9 or 4:3?

Mostly we will use it for powerpoint presentations, but also for some DVD's,
and even some HDTV like Superbowls, etc.

Would you know if I should trust my vendor who claims that BenQ and InFocus
are inferior products to the NEC?
