Sounds like a great panel. Is Voom HD Networks a separate entity from what
we all new as Voom satellite service?

The Voom you refer to is the programming arm of Rainbow Media. They are
trying to sell a package of their 10 exclusive channels to cable that used
to be on Voom(now available on DISH) and that number is supposed to climb to
21 in early 2006.

Problem I see with that approach is twofold, 1)the quality of some of those
channels has limited appeal and 2)not many systems today have the ability to
add 10 HD channels overnight and almost certainly not 21.

Unless they break those up, I don't see many customers for the package.

Certainly the channels that show nothing more than upconverted films are of
no interest, at least to me. Any channel that offers original HD
programming would be of interest on the order of HD Net or InHD or
Discovery.
