Since this was being discussed a few days ago here is a link to an article
regarding:

"Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI), a global leader in high-performance
semiconductors for signal processing applications, today announced that it
will demonstrate the first real-time compression and wireless transmission
of high-definition (HD) video in a consumer application at the
DisplaySearch
HDTV Conference on August 23-24, 2005."

ADI is the only company that I know of that backed the JPEG2000 codec with a
chip. Everybody else is going MPEG4 or WM9/VC-1.

That one is s tough sell.

UWB is still waiting for final approval of the standard. There are politics
behind the scenes there, much like you see with the Blu-ray/HD-DVD battle,
but with UWB you can only have one winner.
