Mission to Mars
Starring Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins, Connie Nielsen, Jerry O'Connell and Don Cheadle.
The taut sci-fi drama tells the story of a team of astronauts who undertake a daring and
desperate rescue mission to Mars, where a previous mission has met with tragedy. The
four-man rescue team consists of the mission leader and his wife (Oscar nominee Tim
Robbins and Connie Nielsen), a technical specialist (Jerry O'Connell) and a backup
commander (Gary Sinise).
As their craft nears the planet, dramatic events put the mission and the lives of the
rescuers in doubt. Desperate measures save three of the four rescuers. When they arrive on
the planet, they discover a survivor (Don Cheadle) and begin to sort out his incredible
story. The crew then investigates an alien monument that could be responsible for dooming
the first mission.
