ABC THURSDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
28 DAYS
In 28 Days, newspaper columnist Gwen Cummings (Bullock) is living the high
life in fact, she and her boyfriend are high most of the time on alcohol and drugs.
During her latest binge, she arrives late to her sister's wedding, destroys the cake and

choice of 28 days in jail or 28 days in rehab.
Gwen is in complete denial as she enters the rehab facility and she immediately sets out
to beat the system. Elizabeth Perkins portrays her sister, Steve Buscemi is her counselor,
Viggo Mortensen portrays a drug-abusing major league pitcher, Dominic West is the
boyfriend and Azura Skye plays Gwen's 17-year-old, drug-addicted roommate.
The 2000 release was directed by Betty Thomas and was written by Oscar nominee Susannah
Grant.

ABBY FEARS FOR MISSING BROTHER WHILE CARTER FIGHTS FOR PREGNANT IMMIGRANT --
While Abby (Maura Tierney) fears the worst when her AWOL brother (guest star Thomas
Everett Scott) suddenly disappears, Drs. Carter (Noah Wyle) and Chen (Ming-Na) treat a
frightened Chinese immigrant nanny (guest star Michelle Krusiec) whom they suspect was

Hi Dale,
We are served by Adelphia and they have no plans for HDTV. Most of the people don't
know what I'm talking about. I'd love it if some other HDTV capable cable company bought
them.

HComcast cable (formerly AT&T) in Hollywood, FL offers nothing in the way of
HDTV. In fact, a saleswoman called just Monday offering their "digital" package.
When I asked if HDTV was available she said "we have digital". I said that's not
the same thing as High Definition TV, there was a pause, and then she hung up on me.
I have a Samsung tuner on a 65" Mitsubishi HDTV, but only an indoor antenna at this
time. I only get WB39 without interruption of signal. We may get an outdoor antenna and
drop cable completely (only have basic and extended basic now). Also have a Dennon 2802
for 5.1 & dts sound.
I bought the HDTV about a year ago, after reading up about it on your site. I am 44 years
old, disabled from a birth defect (spina bifida) and have been nearly completely disabled
since 1997 as my condition worsened. Since I am often homebound, I felt it was worth
investing in the best home entertainment system I could afford. Though the setup is
complicated, I have not been disappointed in the results.
So we will see. If Comcast offers HD first, I may stick with it. If Dish comes out with
the SuperDish I have been reading about, I may go that way. Especially want to have
Showtime HD.
Best wishes,
Bill Wilson

Please include the following signal provider

I live in Broomall, PA, just west of Philadelphia and receive digital and
HDTV from COMCAST Cable. To the best of my knowledge, the only HDTV
signals being broadcast by COMCAST in this area are:
NBC
ABC
COMCAST Sports Net
Showtime
HBO
PBS (never sure what is being programmed here -- in the evenings, it's
usually just a HD demo that they run over and over, but it is an extremely
impressive example of the quality of HD)
