This Week in HD Sports shows lots of fast action to fill your Widescreen HD Televisions!

HDNet has joined CBS and ESPN to bring us NCAA College Football in High Definition on Saturday. HDNet has also announced that they will be exclusively showing Four (4), MLS Playoff/Championship Soccer matches in HD, one Friday, one next Saturday and then the MLS Conference Championships Nov. 5 & 6.

HD fans also get 2 NASCAR races this weekend one on HDNet and the other on TNT-HD

TNT-HD is also showing the first of their NBA games with a double-header tonight.

The NFL Week 7 in HD has some notable games to mention:

On CBS the 5-0 New York Jets are traveling to Foxbourgh to take on the 5-0 New England Patriots. The Jets would like nothing more than to beat the Pats, put a stop to New England’s 20 game win streak, and assume the top of the AFC Eastern conference.

Also on CBS the NFL’s highest scoring (159 points) team the Indy Colts (4-1) take on the Jacksonville Jags (4-2)

NFL on FOX has a good one with the Dallas Cowboys heading north to Lambeau Field, for the first time since 1999, to take on the Green Bay Packers. Both Favre and Testaverde are the only active QBs with over 40,000 yards passing. Should be a high scoring affair!

Last but not least we get the World Series on FOX. To say the League Championship Series were good is the understatement of the year! Boston did a fantastic job of shutting down New York and look to continue their dominance in the World Series against the St. Louis cards.

This is the finale of the Grand National Division West Series coming from the fastest ½ mile track in California. Repeats HDNet Sunday 3:00pm

ESPN-HD 7:45PM College Football Saturday Primetime, this is a good one with #4 Miami Hurricanes visiting North Carolina State Wolfpack, this ACC showdown is in 720p HD coming from Carter-Finley Stadium Raleigh, NC
