Nine years of exhaustive work had gone into its development, Everyone braced for the grand entrance of HDTV into the trials of commercialization. The first public push for it was felt in 1999. The big wave long seen coming began building. It is still building. Nothing can stop it...though not for the trying.

0000HDTV may prove to be the most compelling product ever packaged for the American consumer. It may be limited to the upper echelons for now, but the day when it is in everyone's home can be seen.
