Media Play does a real good job. Best Buy is limited. Here in Atlanta Tower Records does really well down on Peachtree.

For the internet check the SACD section. I am on Acoustic Sounds weekly mailing list.

Richard I noticed they don't have The Beatles yet...Although the Stones are out there...Can't wait till they start putting out "the best of" series for some of the outstanding groups of our time!... :D

Ya, one of about a hundred that we are all wondering...

WHEN :?:

I want Beatles, Led Zepplin, Supertramp, Jimi Hendrix, Allman Brothers, Tori Amos...

More of Pink Floyd, Journey, Billy Joel, Stone Temple Pilots, Weather Report...

I could go on and on and on and on...

I had some real good luck at Borders recently. You can even check if the store has it in stock on the internet. I causght them on a sale day and bought 3 HD audio discs getting another for free.

Our new Fry's store at Gwinnet Mall had a very large selection and better pricing than Borders. Saw some titles I had not known about. Unfortunately they had just put them up and were out of order requiring me to finger through every single one of 'em!

multichanneled sacds

Post by renoprog »

I just bought a dual dvd-a & sacd player. I have over 40 dvd-as but only one Multichanneled sacd "dark side..." I have tired to contact sony and others to find out what sacds are definitely MULTICHANNEL. I know of only a few for sure. I know that one site had way too many listed MC. I know that some of those mentioned really weren't. Unless they are putting out two versions. I went to the local Best Buy and that's how I compared notes. Can someone tell me where to find all of the multichanneled sacds are for sale or at least writtened with the right description. PLease feel to email me or call me 515-244-3089. I love talking about DVD-as & sacds. I also have Quad 8-tracks. I'm ususally up until 3am central time. I also can call back and use my dime. I have unlimited long distance.

click on the CD jacket to the top left of the site. They seem to do a pretty good job. I think I saw the number 768 for how many SACD titles they have. :D

Acousticsounds.com has great selection of redbook cd, sacd, dvda, and vinyl in all types of music. Being on their mailing list keeps you up to date on new releases, such as the sacd version of Layla. I can't wiat for that one to come out. I saw Derek and the Dominoes at the Filmore East way back in 1970...or was that 1971? The bill was Humble Pie (Peter Frampton) opening up, The J. Giels Band second, followed by Derek and the Dominoes. Not too shabby for a $4.00 orchestra seat, eh?

Hi,
If you would like to get a taste of mltich Beatles, pickup "The Beatles Anthology" dvd package. It's full of complete songs and performances in DD5.1. There's also a companion book at Sams Club which was $14 in Canada.

This really is an awsome must have collection. I will also get "Rubber Soul" and others when they go HIREZ. My guess is that it will be in both formats.

The Beatles in SACD or DVDA? There must be some battle going on behind the scenes over who gets that plum! The people who own the catologue must be holding out for a fortune to cause such a delay. If the SACD people win it could spell the end for the struggling DVDA crowd. That would be a shame, as there are some very attractive vinyl-like qualities DVDA has that seem missing in the more digital SACD.
