DCT6412 DVR Recording "Glitches"

Post by djgrim »

For quite a while now I have been seeing video and audio dropouts on HD recordings made with the DCT-6412 on Comcast in New Castle County, Delaware. Comcast tells me this is a known problem which only occurs when a recording is made with the second tuner and only on ABC and NBC recordings. Has anyone else encountered this? Does anyone know whether it is possible to specify which tuner will be used for a particular recording or determine which tuner was used for a particular recording? This has gone on long enough to be pretty annoying. I can confirm that it is not a problem with the signal arriving on the cable because I have recorded programs simultaneously on my PC using the FusionHD3 QAM tuner and those recordings are perfect.

The Atlanta HDTV board is chock full of posts regarding the problem of watching HD live and having audio dropouts but when the it is played back the audio is fine. So far no solution has been provided.
