Blank Screen

I've been experiencing video dropouts on HD telecasts. The screen goes blank for about a second or less and then comes back. Thee is no audio loss. It happens with frequency on certain shows, especially on ABC. I'm trying to identify the source of this problem as either coming from my equipment (HDR 10-250 D* receiver) or from the source, D*. Has anyone else experienced this?

display type and connection used could be helpful...

I doubt you are getting your sound from the display...

I have DirecTV and I have not been having any video drop outs with it but last night while watching channel 71(Showtime HD) and the show "Masters of Horror" I experienced numerous audio blackouts. It was strange the audio would break up sometimes but then come back.

Over a year ago I did experience video blackouts for several seconds and it kept getting worse. I finally had to call a repair man and it was something to do with my DirecTV dish and the connectors going bad. I had to have the dish replaced.

Good luck to you I hope you are able to solve your problem. Maybe it is just DirecTV acting up.
