digital audio switch

Post by MikeBecerra »

I'm looking for a digital optical switch to connect 3 sources to one receiver. Is there any particular one that anyone here would recommend? Also, does anyone know of a store in Phoenix, AZ where I could find this device.

I bought one about a yeat ago. They are just a small round plastic thing and very light. But they work great. Kind of pricey on the net sites so I got mine on Ebay.
I paid $2.99 plus shipping.

Yeah I bought the same box from Octava Inc. However, my question was for digital optical switchers, not HDMI. Thanks for replying.

This looks like the one I have. $15 shipped. The inputs are mini toslink so converters are included.

How does it work? Does it make the connections with each of the three devices when you select it? I had read somewhere about a similar one only connecting to one source that the other two did not line up correctly. I am going to buy that one now if you say it works well.

thanks!

Hi Mike, you can only use one at a time when you turn the selector knob to that input, but they all work. You do have to get up and switch it when you change sources. If you get it put all of the mini adapters in 1st, they are easy to lose. It's cheap to get more but inconvenient. If you need Toslink cables check here.
