Closed Captioning

I have a Sony HDTV and Dish Network is my video supplier using their DVRHD receiver and new 1000 dish. My problem is that I cannot receive my local HD channels with closed caption. I live in the Pittsburgh area and have contacted the local channels, the various networks, Sony, and Dish and they all claim that it is not their responsibility nor have given me any ideas on how to correct it. Presently, the CC is controlled by my Dish receiver and I receive CC fine in standard mode on the locals. I even receive CC in HD on all other channels that carry it. I have tried going through my TV CC with no luck. Anybody have any ideas?

Don't know if this helps, but my Directv HD 10/250 offers a CC menu for digital and standard broadcasts. The standard won't work with the HD stuff. Or is it the other way around?

Btw, does anybody know if there's a shortcut to get to the HD 10/250 CC menu and back? It's a very clumsy and time consuming task just to turn it on and off.

I'd appreciate it if you could share how to get to the closed captioning menu on the HDR DirecTV system, as this isn't referenced anywhere in my user manual. Thanks!
