Where to get Runco lamps inexpensively

Post by mprh39 »

I have a Runco 1000d and their lamps cost $500.00 a pop. I usually have to pay for two a year, Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

2 lamps a year points to either putting a lot of hours on the product or your habits of use.

Are they flat out failing, no picture with a failed lamp light illuminating, or just getting worn down, poor brightness? Does the product provide a timer to see how many hours you are getting from the lamp?

As for lamp price that is part and parcel of Runco ownership no different than having a Rolls Royce or Ferrari in the garage.

where to buy inexpensive runco lamps

Post by lynncaldwell »

I own a Runco 1000c and the dealer charges me nearly $700. Where do you buy your lamps. I will switch where I purchase mine. Thanks

Is the dealer also replacing the lamp?

Where to get inexpensive Runco light bulbs

Post by lynncaldwell »

The dealer charges me $693 + $60.98 Tax for a total of $753.98. I change the bulb myself which is a snap. Just unscrew the screws on the side of the projector and replace the bulb casing. Then I reset the lamp hours to zero. I have to buy a bulb every 10 months because my projector is the main source for television in our downstairs family room. When I have called Runco about a year ago, I asked them what is the normal charge for a bulb and they were very vague, inferring that I would have to get that information from the dealer.

Ah.... Got it... I would definitely go with mprh39's dealer. I hope he responds and if he doesn't then I would get a list from Runco and start calling dealers around the country. Heck, you might find it for even less
