This means you inserted a disc but the player acts as if no disc was provided or an error message is displayed inferring a problem. You can try a head cleaner in case the lens is dirty. More than likely you have lost the laser pickup requiring service.

If replacement cost of your player is less than $150 then it is a throw away item and you should purchase another.

If replacement cost of your player exceeds $250 then service is an alternative.
