Richard,
I have yet to see a single RF remote that can learn anything other than IR codes from another device. Have you?
Apparently, Sony does not think their PS3 is worthy of incorporation into home entertainment systems by custom integrators. I suppose we would have had to wait many more months for the console in order to see such features added to their design.
How are the fundamentals, such as basic picture and sound performance? Extra convenience features are nice, but what about the fundamentals? If it doesn't look or sound right, all the potential bells and whistles don't amount to much, do they?
Best regards and beautiful pictures,

Richard and Alan........The PS3 is every bit as good as the other offerings and then some...It is fast with eject, fast with load times, and produces a stunning picture on reference Q films like, "Black Hawk Down"..."The Great Raid"..."The Haunted Mansion"...These flicks look every bit as good on the PS3 as any flick has looked on my HD-A1. There is nothing wrong with blu-ray machines (excluding Samsungs 1080P shortcomings)...The Samsung has been discontinued...with firmware upgrade it is just as good as the Sony offerings for 720P and 1080i...BUT...There is something wrong with the Samsungs 1080P output...It is not full 1080P resolution. The Panasonic has some cue issues (nothing serious)...The Sony stand alone has problems with PCM 7.1 decoding (will not allow PCM + modes on your receiver). The PS3 has no such problems....It really is a wonder machine. Just wish I could incorporate the remote into my MX-3000. Maybe there will be some adapter made someday?...(right). The Playstation is the most future proof of all Blu-ray offerings and will also soon have update for 1080P/24 coming in 2 months. In short, for 599.99 it smokes the competition.

Richard, thought I would jump in here and let you know that my neighbor is a big time ebay dealer and he has a few of these PS3's they are 60 GB.......I asked him how much he wanted for one and he said 799.99.00 So if you don't want to wait I could buy one and send it to you....Let me know. I got tired of waiting to find one in a store and bought one...We are not good friends so I can't get a better deal...(His dog is always crapping on my lawn and I kinda made a stink out of it...(no double pun intended)...Richard wrote:
As for performance... unknown at this time... it's not like I can swing by any local retailer and get one...![]()
